FREEDOM-POS represents a new direction in the retail marketplace, delivering sophisticated functionality, inbuilt multi-channel capability and co-operative integration with other systems in the enterprise.
It is functionally rich and flexible, allowing it to be used in a virtually any retail environment, from traditional retailing (for example, grocery, general merchandise, specialty and pharmacy) through to more specialised implementations in the leisure and hospitality industry (such as bars and restaurants, amusement parks, theme parks and cruise ships). All of these formats can be supported from the same copy of FREEDOM-POS using configuration options, allowing support for environments that have mixed outlet types and allowing the cross-pollination of functions between outlets.
The back office is web-based and so can be accessed from any authorised network location. It delivers a consistent, secure, web interface, for simple navigation and low cost training. It can be adopted for all new applications, providing a consistent look and feel across the store environment. The core data processing engine within the back office is highly configurable, allowing the system to accommodate changes in business rules and selling operations, without major server modifications. The back office functions can be located in-store, or can be centralised to reduce the cost of hardware and maintenance.
