Retail crime costs UK retailers £2.4 billion per annum - a significant part of which is cash and card fraud. Fraud is normally pre-planned, and follows a pattern. Cash and card fraud can be cut significantly through staff education and training, and systems support.

Most retailers today recognise that serious cases of fraud can be detected early, and prevented, by making the best use of the data available from their point of sale systems. However, whilst a number of specialised solutions available today automate much of the detection process, they tend to be heavyweight products that are expensive to deploy, require significant integration and process mapping and therefore take time to deliver ROI.

  • Is easily extendable by the retailer so that the full set of information can be reviewed and the process refined
  • Provides the ability to easily drill down in the details of transactions to seek answers to specific questions, and chase down specific fraud instances
