Retail crime costs UK retailers £2.4 billion per annum - a significant part of which is cash and card fraud. Fraud is normally pre-planned, and follows a pattern. Cash and card fraud can be cut significantly through staff education and training, and systems support.
Most retailers today recognise that serious cases of fraud can be detected early, and prevented, by making the best use of the data available from their point of sale systems.
