FREEDOM's Refund Centre creates the controls necessary to combat this problem by tackling one of the fastest growing areas - refunds. Fraudsters are taking advantage of refund policies and goodwill, using 'lost receipt' scams, copying receipts and exploiting the fact that retailers rarely have an accurate view of the number of items purchased and how many times they have been returned.
The Refund Centre changes this by maintaining an enterprise wide view of sales and refunds, building activity profiles of potential fraudsters and enforcing automatic controls over the refund process.
